This can happen when the same error code has different meanings across product families or firmware versions. Always specify the exact manufacturer, equipment type, and family/series for the most accurate result. If the diagnosis is incorrect, please rate it with 1–2 stars — this helps us improve. You can also email technical support with the error code, equipment model, and the correct interpretation from your manual.
Your search quota resets automatically on the 1st of each month. If you need more searches, you can upgrade your plan from the Pricing section. Alternatively, previously searched codes are cached and don’t consume quota on repeat lookups.
Yes. Leave the manufacturer dropdown empty and enter your error code. The system will attempt to identify the manufacturer automatically from the code pattern. For best results with less common brands, type the manufacturer name in the search field alongside the error code.
Click the “Print Report” button at the bottom of any diagnosis. This opens your browser’s print dialog with a clean, paper-optimized layout. You can print to paper or save as PDF using your browser’s “Save as PDF” print option.
The decoder requires an internet connection for live diagnostics. However, previously decoded error codes are cached in our database and load instantly on subsequent searches. We recommend printing critical diagnoses for offline reference in the field.
